Darryl Bates
Owner & Style Director

I have been in the hairdressing industry for more than 40 years, working my way up from Saturday receptionist to roles in executive management at leading salons in London and Manchester.

Throughout my career I have strived continually to achieve ever higher standards of professionalism and creativity.  My extensive, hands-on experience has equipped me with an intimate understanding of what it takes to make a salon grow and prosper, and crucially what it takes to deliver fantastic results for our clients.

I have owned DB hair salon in Ashton-under-Lyne since 1983: the business is my passion and the place where I can put my ideas and creativity into practice.  I take great personal pride in exceeding the expectations of our customers. 

I also take immense pride in the team that we’ve built here that makes this possible.

Stacey Wood
Colourist, Stylist & Assistant Manager

Stacey has been in the hairdressing industry for 14 years, each one of them working with Darryl at DB Hair.

Stacey is best described as happy, smiley and kind hearted, though equally she can be described as the consummate professional. Her dedication to training and development is fully evident in her colour, highlighting and cutting technique.

Stacey is an artist: she is an expert in the use of colour, and is motivated fundamentally by the creation of beautiful styles.

Jane Beck
Stylist & Colour Technician (Independent)

Jane describes herself as a motivated, attentive, cheerful, sociable and positive team member.

She also says ‘It is important for me to make people feel good: building relationships with clients, getting to be creative and always learning something new is what makes the job special’.

Jane is a fully qualified and highly experienced hairdresser: she works and trains hard to stay at the cutting-edge with new techniques and processes.
